Today i got metered at a local shop: 150.6

It was on the audiocontrol SPL meter. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion as to how accurate that reading is in comparison to TL programs.

Also, it was metered Meca legal at the headrest. Passengers door open.

I used the meca tones cd @ 40hz to get that reading.

Let me know what you think.

the ac190 is the newest audio controll meter. the ac190 is usually 2 db higher than the tl. that old meter could be wayyy off or not. it just depends how long it has been since calibration.

well i'm hoping to get on the TL by the end of the week. a member on here told me they would check my stuff out this week and throw me on their TL. so ill post up my real numbers then.

thanks, i just hope its close to true. I'm getting 2 HDC3-A's and another opti2000d, so hopefully that'll put me up at 150 TL.

meter it sealed up on the dash if you get the chance, also in the kick with the door open is always fun too

yeah i'm trying to keep it simple. I like posting up similar numbers as the guys around here with 4 15's, 2 18's walled etc. and they put twice the money into their system as I do, and get the same readings.

meter it sealed up on the dash if you get the chance, also in the kick with the door open is always fun too

once Kman meters me ill try it all hopefully. port, sealed@dash, kick, headrest. just to see.

Its always possible.

Ray Farmer from MD did a 154 dB at a dB drag with 1 12". and just did 153.7 this weekend at the Carlisle 3X with 1 10". Although it is a DD 99Z with a Stetsom 7K and in a CRX.

But 150 is always possible in another car.
