I loved the way my CDT CL61 use to sound. I agree about going with the TW-24 tweeter. I think they are the best sounding speakers for the price. I'm a big CDT fan so my opinion is biased.

how about a us amps 1600.2 xterminator line series of amps. cheap, lots of power. 200 x 2 @ 4 for like 325 i think. or eD nine.2x or maybe put your money on pre order for 100.4 by sundown audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif .

i got quoted at 175 out the door for the US Amps XT 1600.2, which is a great price IMO for the power. anyways gymway, if you go with the crystals, contact 95stroked1500 on this forum, it will be cheaper and authorized. for the a/d/s, cardomain has them for about 160 and free shipping i believe, they are also authorized.

CDT is good but I personally found the sound too flat and not lively enough. SSCS is good but your doors must be deadened for you to get good midbass. Rainbow SLC line is also nice, nice blend of not tooo laiback but not tooo harsh.

I think Sounddomain sold out the 6.5 inch a/d/s comps. There still seems to be a healthy stock of them on e-bay, but that's not authorized.

Might also want to consider Oz Vectors. Aluminum dome, but Oz makes great stuff at whatever price range they're in.

I don't get the CDT thing...They're OK, but...but at $200, you're a stone's throw from the Alpine Type-X, which would be my pick.

I can think of so many options I'd take over CDT, but it seems to be the boner here...
