I want to take some of the spare car audio equipment use it outside of my car. i want to make a box that will hold a deck, 2-4 speakers and a sub/amp. this will all need to be powered so i want to run it off of one battery and maybe get an 120ac converter so i can plug it in if a plug is available. i know there would need to me multiple chambers in this box to make everything sound good, but what i want to know is if this is possible. also if i am running this just off a 12volt car battery, how long will it last before needing to be recharged? has anyone ever see or done this them selves that could help me. would be putting in some old 6.5" coax and like a 10 sub, these are all fairly cheap products, i am just looking for music while out on the beach or camping. not going to be putting on any parties of anything so dont need anything super nice. will this work?

yea it will work but forget about an amp or sub that will drain the battery so fast it wouldnt be worth it just use the deck to power 2 6.5's and 2 6x9's charge the battery up and you will have about 5-6 hours of music enjoyment if you run an amp and sub you might get 30 mins if your lucky

Not this question again. Buying a 12 volt power supply large enough to supply enough current would be as expensive as simply buying a 120v amplifier.

what do they usually install them in? do they make their own box or use on pre-made? does anyone have any Pictures?
