chicago has been that way for quite a while.
The problem is, no meters... it comes down to, if they *hear* it, your car is impounded and its $500 to get it out.
And no, the judges dont care.
he was joking...neither it's the ones where you can have it blasting and it would say 210 db or some shit like that
The only problem I see is with dumbasses who put all their windows down with their system up. I always have all my windows up and only the sunroof open because it rattles like crazy. You can still hear my vocals and the bass when my HU is on 1/2 volume with the windows up and everything closed.he was joking...
anyways, good for them, perhaps punks will start having some courtesy for others... not too hard to deaden and not have it cranked in public. Alot of you guys on here seem to think you have rights you dont.
alot of harleys are louder.... the other day i was coming back from a car show and one got on the right hand side of me on the freeway and i couldnt bare the noise i had to roll up my window... and wow those kinds of guys can get away with it. now that noise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifSeems like a raw deal. If a bus honks at you it'll hit a few db's. Even harleys can be louder than a system, are they all going to get tickets too??
i agree 100%, fart cannons piss me off more than a loud system... that's true noise polution.. AND air polution... poluting MF's lolalot of harleys are louder.... the other day i was coming back from a car show and one got on the right hand side of me on the freeway and i couldnt bare the noise i had to roll up my window... and wow those kinds of guys can get away with it. now that noise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
hoorayy for a cop on our side.I'm a police officer here in Hawaii and if we can hear the car stereo from over 30 feet then we can cite the driver. I believe after the third offense then we can actually confiscate his/her equipment. For the five years I've been on the force I've never given a citation for a loud car stereo. Of course I am biased because I do have a bumping system in both of my trucks.![]()

Yeah that kind of behavior really gives us a bad image. What part of NY are you living? I was just there in January. I went snowboarding in NJ. I just missed that big snowstorm that blanketed NY.I'm glad there are nice officers like you. My parents live in Hawaii, and two years ago we were driving a bit lower than the speed limit on the local streets to look at houses that we were interested in, some young cop who was behind us cut us off and as he passed us he cursed at us and showed his badge off... That wasn't very nice.
