To everyone running audiopipe...

new audiopipe is kinda not that great but oldscholl ap is awesome. i have the audiopipe gd-6001 and i have burped it .25 at the show many times. and with the new sub it will play daily on .35 ohms. most unclipped power this amp will do is a little over 4100 rms @ .25 ohm on 18 volts. oldschool FTW!
holy shit where did you get 18v? lol. its only a matter of time when guys will be running banks of batteries in series for 24v

i have a 15 d2 1500rms. re xxx 05 model . i want to give a little more like 1700rms. And if i get a ap3000 i can wire it to one channel and maybe just maybe if it does rated give me the 1500 at 1ohm clean power i hope. but do you guys think if i bridge it with a 1ohm load instead of the 2ohm bridge load its recommends will the amp blow or shut off into protection mode.

if i wanted more power. than 1500 from one channel, adjusting the gain of course.

No regrets yet. My stock 80 amp alt can't keep up at full tilt... (V = 11.5).

With a 1-1.1 ohm load, and impedance rise to 1.8-2.0 ohms, the amp burped 1125 w (45 V AC @ 25 amps), 3 seconds in... and there was very light distortion. Distortion ramped up soon after this point. This was 5 mins ago outside. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They claim 1100 @ 2, and I can verify it, even at low volts.

My test procedures aren't spotless, but I did not use max hold, or any of the common mistakes. Just a Craftsman clamp meter and a separate multimeter, and a Canon digicam to make sure the measurement was at the same time.

I'm happy with mine! I upgraded my alt to 150A, with 2 RESE 12's running at 2ohm, and I can still drop my voltage down way to low, like 10v. but I'm also running two other viper amps for my highs and mids.

The little ap 30001 is a power hungry beast. but it beats the American Bass amp I sold easy.

which AB model was it?

my whole outlook on these amps is this. they are fucking cheap to buy. what is the motto to live by in life? "you get what you pay for"

im not saying these aren't good for a budget system but if you have a few extra dollars to spend why not get something that is built well with good quality parts.

i looked at it like 350 shipped for 3k or order a sundown for 650 used for about the same power. just wasnt worth the extra money to me. even if this blows i can always order another to replace it for about the same price of 1 sundown.
