To deaden or strip the rear deck?

My plans are to sandwich it between two sheets of 1/2" MDF, deaden foam in the empty spaces, then cut a hole in the shape of the Honda LOGO right in the middle. I will then add FG pds for rear fill speakers and cover the whole thing in automotive cloth... a light under the Honda cut-out will illuminate it at night-- for that ricer-look! LAWL! I like the Concealed look that you can show-off with the proper lighting, etc. IMO...

Just cutting holes in the rear deck is NOT a good idea... there is some structural strength designed into it and you would be destroying the safety side of that not to mention the re-sale value.

yeah I dont really want that much trouble
I still wouldnt just cut the rear deck... take the factory covering off to bare metal... and attach a sheet of sound deadening-- if you want more room for bass to pass remove the rear speakers and just keep the grills over the holes. Lots of options, depends on how hard you want to work and how serious you are about getting rid of the rattles while still letting all of the bass pass through.

o made risers outa mdf to go through my 6X9 holes then sandwiched the whole sheet metal in mdf and bolted it all down to stop the rattles, this was befor ei got grills (still havnt yet tho ha) but it lets a lot more bass through and my rear deck doesnt make as bad of a rattle. its still slightly anoying but not so overbearing i cant bump my shit
