to cap or not to cap

my system consists of two 1001bd's and a 500x so should I buy a 3 farad cap or just skip the cap and go straight for a new battery and altenator? I have a dodge dakota with stock electrical. I saw at the latest competition alot guys just have extra battery's should i do that as well?

Ditch the cap, and get a big alternator. And I mean a BIG alternator.

yeh, caps wont do **** unless ur electrical is already up to par.

yep....dont go w/ a cap...check into upping your alt...u can usually get an alt rewound for cheaper than a new one...usually 1-3 bucks/ amper.....jus check your local alt shops....
