to big of fuse?

The fuse is there to protect the wire, not your amps.
The 300a fuse is fine, as that's what kickers wire is rated for.
^^^THIS IS CORRECT^^

There is too much misinformation going around about fusing ATM.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

As long as the fuse rating is smaller than the wire's rating of which it is protecting, then it is perfect

dont take this the wrong way im not trying to be a douche, just curious. if the fuse is only there to protect the wire why isnt every fuse in the fuse box of a car all the same size?
