To any who claim that fatmat doesnt stick...

for anyone who wanted to know.... its still sticking... freezing cold right now and its sticking. Honestly i dont know as of this second since i sold the jeep over a week ago now but i do know it is probably still sticking as it has been for the last two years.
Ok, fine so it's sticking. But is it actually damping? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif If you were to actually test it, I'd say it's doing close to absolutely nothing in freezing cold weather. Damping performance of something like Dynamat Extreme (a real damping product) drops by 500% in as you approach freezing.

Next time, save yourself some money and glue some blacktop or sand to your doors, it will do about the same thing.

Here is another update.... Still sticking just fine!!!!

Also just did my 00 silverado the last couple days. It worked great and it was only 40-50 out at the time i applied it. I used no heat and only did a quick wipe down of the surfaces with a drop of dawn in a bucket of water... Its sticking great right now I hardly pushed it on as well. Sure didnt waste my time rolling it. I just used the back end of my knife to get in corners and its great! Also... i got my fatmat when ordered this time in a week! so they even speeded up shipping. It also seems to work quite well...

Troll. And you fail at it too.

If it's applied properly it sticks just fine... but its still an inferior product.
It'd be more accurate to say that if it's applied properly it may stick just fine but it will still be subject to decreasing heat resistance over time and it's definitely a poor vibration damper.

I fail to see where you keep going with this?

The product is inferior, and is a lot more hazardous then other dampeners out there. Just because yours sticks, doesn't mean it dampens.

Hell, it's like saying I got a 800 HorsePower Engine in my car! And it only cost me $50, but it doesn't run //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

To each his own. That is all. If the guy thinks that Fatmat is cool, let him be. There is always going to be something better out there. The fact that this guy is happy with his results is what matters.

I use FatMat, and it sticks. I know it's nothing more then Peel N Seal, and it's no damplifier pro by any means, but it definitely helped kill my trunk rattle, which is what I was going for. Expanding foam all the empty crevesaces on the lid, then fatmat ontop. It helped, no doubt. And was cheap. I wasn't going for any type of SQ, just trying to stiffen up the lid.

I always recommend SecondSkin, but sometimes the budget just doesn't permit it.

You use asphalt deadener, you dont bother to heat it (when the glue is uses is heat activated) and you dont even bother to roll it down... yet it works great? You are a lousy troll, and an even worse liar. I have applied enough asphalt mat over the years to see through your little ploy. Not one picture huh? Think we are stupid do you? You either do not provide pictures because you know the install looks like shit and we would rip it a new ******* inside of 3 minutes, or because you are flat out lying and these installs do not even exist.
So go ahead, show us a pic of this install with asphalt mat that was applied in 50 degree weather, with no heat, and no roller. I dare you.

Anyone who doesn't bother to roller down their sound deadening mat, shows that their advice is not worthy of taking seriously.

Let alone not heating the mat while applying it in 50 degree weather, not using the right type of cleaning product to prep the surface, etc...

Anyone who understands this topic well can see he is full of shit.

eh..

If an water is frozen properly it will turn in to ice and stay solid just fine..

Until it gets above 32 degrees, then it makes no difference how you froze that ice cube.

Ice above 32 f. melts.

Asphalt above 180 f melts.

Thats just how it is.

im still loling the stuff works great. just keep on " troll blah blah wahhh buy my expensive crap that i claim is better" so here i am still laughing. sorry i dont fit in and go along with all the boners here... I have no need to feel accepted or to fit in with the bs. I just find it funny when so many people who claim crap and make up 90% of the crap they say find it so important to let something like a product working effect their lives. Lets do the math on your posts on this site... if you have over 1000 posts you probably have little of a life... I guess a company that makes such a crappy product should of been out of business by now... Yet what? about 8-10 years that i know of they have been around... The customer service has sucked since day one but hey its gotten better... The fact is that to me and most people i have talked to (in real life not cyber banging over) have seen little diff in the quality or effect of the other products on the market. And for all who want pics... buy me a new digi cam and ill be glad to take pics for you. Otherwise my original offer of checking any of the isntalls out any time in sacramento is open... I might even give you a beer or two if your old enough and arent a idiot... I'm glad its having such an effect on your lives though. Our winters get to a low of about high 20's maybe teens once or twice a year but its rare. Our summers get to 120 once every few years usually a high in the year of the mid teens... so we get some hot and cold and its stood up to whatever california had thrown at it... It does what it claims and does in fact stick as the title states...
