Should I amp my 4 full 50rms speakers or is there a HU that could power them sufficiently? Are there any 200w amps that have onboard equalizers? What about this ?
What speakers are they? What else do you have in your car? Do you already have ea head unit? As far as the equalizer, maybe getting a really good head unit would take care of that for now.
Right now they are mb quart discus coax 6.5 in the rear and discus component 6.5 in the front. No HU yet, that's why i'm asking. Will have mono amp to alpine r-type 12" so I want to know if i should bi-amp or not...
I would definitely say amp them then. As for the head unit, I cant really recommend any, other members can give you some pointers on purchasing a good head unit.
im in a very similar situation.. i want to use my HU power for 5.25 type-s coax in rear and 6.5 components (havent bought them yet.. dunno which ones) in the front.. but dont want to spend extra $$ on a 4ch amp.. im not big on bass comin out of my components cause should the bass be sufficient enought comin from my 12" sub?? i just want nice clear sound
and as far as headunits, i can vouch for my alpine CDA-9856.. theyre nice.. pretty, and have very clean sound... and very good speaker/sub rca outputs.
How much higher can I go in this setup and not be worried about overpowering them? I swear I won't play them that loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
And are there any of those that are "solid little amps" with decent prices?
