how does one get an HDTV and not have HD cable???? you are missing out man...

Well its the only HDTV i have really.. its in my bedroom. already pay like 120+ cable bill as it is.. maybe i should look into HD cable though

Just saw Panama City store is closing, thats the only one thats close to me. but no way i'm driving 102 miles to it :/

My direct tv HD DVR is awesome, love it, got 7 movies recorded on it and i still have 93% storage capacity.

There's no need to get a HD DVR unless you have HD cable. Chances are if you plan to upgarde to HD Cable they will give you a HD DVR for like $5 extra a month and if you're paying $120 a month for regular cable you're being ***** with no lube. I have Direct TV HD with HD DVR and I get the NFL Sunday Ticket, NBA League Pass, and all the movie channels for $140 a month. Hopefully your price includes phone, and internet if not you really need to look into changing lol.

I'm pretty positive everyone gets HD Cable free, maybe just not the premium hd channels. All you need is a HD Capable box, which the Tivo HD is. If i'm not mistaken you need to get CableCards to use that thing so you should check to see if your cable company will charge you.

Yeah, i have Internet,Phone,Basic Cable... But yeah so your saying if i get this Tivo HD they might charge me for the actual HD channels? its just the TIVO HD has youtube on it which id thought be nice... but the Regular Series 2 doesn't and its not that much more..
