He is right. Do this tonight. Call DD and listen to the answering machine then call soundqubed lol.lol didn't know that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
Buy it used. I've seen it in upper 300s to low 400sover budget for me. I really want to keep the monoblock around $400 so I have $200 to go towards a 4 channel
The ph4000 will do 2k max clean. Not 2000rms. And your woofers should handle that fine. Just because ur subs are rated at 800watts doesn't mean they won't handle more CLEAN power.I know I know but I feel like if I'm paying for 2000watts and not using 500, couldn't I have spent the same amount of money on 1500watts of better quality product? That being said a 2000watt rms amp for $200 scares me...reminds me of high school when every one had Lanzar and Pyle 1000watt MAX POWER! amps.
Symphony S1500.1 is a solid contender. Good amount of power for a good price.Amplifiers - Symphony Series - Crescendo Audio Factory Direct Online Store
nice amps in your budget
Well that *****.. You should call DD direct and tell them what just happened. I doubt they will be dealers for much longer.Let me just take a minute to complain about Digital Designs setup up for sales...
I call three DD authorized dealers and this is the response I get...
dealer A response after I ask what the price is on a DD M1D
dealer A: "What size is it"
me: "It's an amp..."
dealer "oh let me check...we only have the A2 and A4 do you want one of those?"
me "no"
dealer A "Call dealer B and see if they have it"
now I ask dealer B if they have a DD M1D
dealer B "Do you want to buy it"
me "I want to know if you have it and if you do have it how much does it cost"
dealer B " What is it again? Is that a sub?"
me "no. Digital designs M1D...its an amp"
dealer B "Let me check...I can order one for you, do you want to buy it?"
me "How much is it?"
dealer B "$550. Do you want me to order for you?
me "no" (I think we can all agree that amp isn't worth $550 and I'm not buying it from that guy)
Now asking Dealer C the same question. I get the same "what is that" "I don't have one" "I can order it for you"
This time $599. I tell him no as well, not worth it. Given this experience I'd hate to have to deal with their customer service for a repair. Sure I could walk in with $400 cash and try playing the game but you know what? If DD doesn't respect the value of my time enough to not make me jump through hoops to buy their products with my hard earned cash they can get bent. I'll take my money elsewhere...to many fish in the sea.
Digital Designs? I'll pass...
I have an OG audioque 1200.1 I bought years ago in my truck. Been beating on it hard as I can on 4hr trips never even got warm and sounds fantastic. I've recently bought a sq90.4 and I really like it as well. IMO its a solid bet on amps that won't crap out on you, go for sqSymphony S1500.1 is a solid contender. Good amount of power for a good price.
Whats the point then? You have experience with both amps?you're missing the point
