Tired of hearing about high gas prices? Me too.

they should put solar panels on top of big warehouses/walmarts/malls or really tall buildings and have those buildings generate their share of electricity for themselves and then feed power back into the grid.

hell of a post and i agree on everything everyone's said...right now the hybrid concept of cars just isn't cutting it...did i hear they release a hybrid escalade? or "flex fuel", i feel as though the amount of effort put in to developing an alternative type of fuel source for transportation has been just the amount needed to keep the tree hugging californian's (sorry if your from there) happy and that is all. Basically its the answer to the question "what are you doing to help the environment" **wearing a t shirt with a recycle sign on it** "oh i drive a hybrid"

Democrats aren't just hugging trees and dreaming of hydrogen vehicles. I work for a Chicago Democratic Congressman. A list below is everything he has done for recent aid in the issue of gas prices and the oil crisis. Alongside it is the bill number so everyone can look them up for an explanation of what the bill does. Here are the short term relief bills that he has

Voted for:

Gas Price Relief for Consumers Act of 2008 (HR 6074)

Legislation suspending oil shipments to SPR (HR 6022)

Energy Markets Emergency Act (HR 6377)

Saving Energy Through Public Transportation Act (6052)

Federal Price Gouging Prevention Act (HR 1252)

Responsible Federal oil and Gas Lease Act "Use it or lose it" (HR 6251)

Drill Responsibly in Leased Lands Act (HR 6515) This bill increases AND expedites drilling on federal lands in Alaska that area open to drilling.

Co-Sponsored:

Gas Price Spike Act of 2008 (HR6000)

Commuter Act of 2008 (HR 6030)

Responsible Ownership of Public Lands Act (HR 6256)

FYI, the government is not going to mandate switching to any other fuel source. Why? Because they generate too much revenue on oil, and other fuel sources are harder to tax as well.
no to mention they are going to raise taxes because people are driving less. Oh and taxing people that drive hybrids because they use less gas.
