Tired of blowing subs! Help!

I have a hifonics gladiator 1400.1 and I just keep blowing subs. The only thing I can think of is the wattage/quality just can't take power. I want 4 subs. Which subs should I buy and how should I wire them. I'm thinking about some RF P3s but can they handle a beating? I want a lot of bass btw.

You're most likely setting your gain too high and clipping the subs to death. Doesn't matter if you buy more subs or better quality subs, you'll still destroy them if the gain it too high or, if your electrical isn't sufficient.

How do you have you gain set and what kind of electrical do you have to support the amp?

That is the perfect spot to do that. OEM sub may interfere with the new one and cause cancellation.

You can pull that amplifier and take to an Audio shop and see if they will test it. Most shops charge very little and some will not even charge...

Sounds like a bad ground or wiring problem on the 12v+ side.
