Tire specialist, whats biggest i can fit on stock 16"?

Ok, i have a 2004 Explorer and they come with 16" wheels and 235/70/R16 tires i believe

Now my boss gets new tires all the time for his chevy, and his old ones have more tread on them than mine do now....alot more actually but they are 285/75/16

I tried searchin but nothin tells me whats the biggest i can fit

yes, they will fit but it will make you speedo read wrong.

ya they can, most are computer controlled so its not a big deal.. Also there is gearing where the speedo cable connects that can be changed out if needed.
