alright so after re-reading i've managed to see what you're talking about. i must'of gotten confused with the number of people talking about how old it was. my bad i didn't see that part lol. so it was less than 2 yrs old and a reg stock tire on the same sized wheel as the other 3? 80 mph on a donut tire thats 28 years old would of been extremely stupid im suprised i thought thats what had happened

Was it a front or rear tire? I had that happen too. I was doing 100k/hr and the car would shake, as I went faster it smoothed out. 150 seemed to ride really smooth, until the rear tire blew out like yours did. Go figure that my spare was on the front which I had just put on 1-2 hours prior.

It was a less than two year-old correct OEM-size tire for this particular vehicle. A smallish tire by most current standards, to be sure, but not a temp spare at all and certainly not close to three decades old.

yea donuts are pretty dangerous, but 80 miles an hour wtf. not to mention i've never seen a 28 yr old donut tire, i guess seeing one thats blown all to hell would be about the only way i'd see one. **** those donut tires are worthless.

what're you talking about, im not the one cruisen down the freeway on a donut tire, last time i used one i didn't go over 30 mph and it made a high pitched whinning noise the whole time. to be doing 80 mph that is wicked, i'd of crapped my pants hearing the noise that'd be making

this is funny, i just had a flat and had to use the donut again. I was at my brothers switching tires last night and he happend to bring up an experience he had with a donut tire, he said he was doing donuts on a gravel road in his camaro when he blew out a back tire, he then put on a donut tire and told me he was doing around 120 with it the whole time and the only reason it blew was when he hit railroad tracks and got a little air, said he threw another one on it and just kept it floored all the way to town. i guess his plan was to blow out some tires and wanted to use up some donuts so he had more than 1.
