Tips for a Robb-Free Installation...

It is a very common thing these days to have battery backups for alarms, there should not need to be any rocket science involved...

Some are even designed to trigger if the main battery is cut, without any other sensor triggering it.

Yeah, bolting stuff down is always a good idea. I'm gettin two subs in my truck and im gonna bolt the boxes through the floor. I'm gonna bolt the boxes down through the inside too, i'm not gonna use those cheap L-brackets. Also, the screws are another good idea. Try to use hex screws or other odd-ball types that theives most likely wont have on them.

Torx head, button head, star nut. Don't double park (draws attention), park in well light areas, and carry a bow. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

LOL.. Even though its a few years old, its all still good info.

Also, if any of you guys have a home security system, you can always look into buying a wireless motion detector to set out on your dashboard, or wherever's conveinient. The nice thing about these is that they can short out/cut/damage whatever wires they want to on the vehicle, and it will not in any way affect the motion sitting on your dash. Whether they pick the locks, break the window, or whatever, as soon as they stick any part of their body in the car, the motion will set your home alarm off, and if your sirens not too loud outside, it will give you the element of surprise catching the pricks in the act.

The drawback though is that it won't be any use if your not parked in front of your house, or near the home security system. Also, you would have to have the motion programmed to be "unsupervised"..just meaning that the home alarm would not go into a trouble mode if it cannot locate a signal from the motion detector..like when your away at work or whatever.

If anyone is interested in doing something like this and need help finding the equipment, or programming it, just PM or email me. I have worked as a home security installer for over 7+ years, and can usually walk people through stuff over the phone.
