Tint...

tint does NOT just have to do with people seeing in. so shut up

x2. I could care less if they see in my car. Long as I'm swanging an audi.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

LoL to the guy above that said that, if you want to know what tint is actually for, look it up bro. It's to keep the cool air in during summers not to hide criminals.

azbass..anything with a smoke color to it is dyed. Half metal half dye usually. The only 100% metal film is silver, or Huper Optik is a kind of bronze, and it's ceramic.

Ok, if you want the legal limit stuff (which is always the best option). go to http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html and look up your state. as far as tint goes, make sure you go with a good name brand such as Llumar, solargard, suntek, huper optik (way expensive), formula one (also expensive) ect... this whole cops don't car as long as they can see in is not true. Its like a license to pull you over, where they could find reasonable cause...somehow someway to search your vehicle. Stay legal and go with a good brand you'll be much more happy. For price expect to pay anywhere from 180 - 450 depending on brand of film, number and size of windows and difficulty of car.

Good Luck!

Fuc* man....you guys who live in states that can go 25% is lucky....hawaii can only go 35%....cops here charge can charge 175 a window if he wants to be a dic*....300 for the windsheild if he's a dic*head...hows that for bullshi* laws!

at least you can put 35% on the front side windows. In CA we can put any tint on the back and rear side windows but the front sides can only be 70%. I would much rather have 35% all around then have darker windows on my rear doors and pretty much no tint allowed on the fronts.

Along with that, it means 35% NET. Which means darkness of the window and the flim combined.

Yea, I think I'm going with 35%. 50% doesn't seem like it would be worth it, it's just I really dont want to take that chance if you know what I'm saying. 35% you can normally see through correct? Just not much?
I used to have 35% and I couldn't even tell they were tinted from inside the car. I put another layer of 35%, so should be about 12% and still have no trouble seeing

I decided 25% on the back window and 35% on all 4 sides. Thanks guys!
It looks alot better when the tint is the same percentage all the way around... I had 35% in front and 5% in back on my monte carlo... now on my grand prix i did 20% all the way around and it looks great.
