I talked to irragi and these are the options he gave me.

I have a 2007 Honda Civic Coupe, R18 motor.

180/110 $379

200/120 $399

220/100 $429

I asked if I could get any more amps in idle and he told me this "We have a CNC machined aluminum pulley that will give you 20-30 more amps at idle. $59.00"

I want to run about 2000-3000 watts soon and need to pick an option. I have an Optima Deep Cycle D34 under the hood and will probably end up getting another battery for the trunk.

What do you guys think I should do?

dont buy the optima, and dont go with irragi ?

Call Phil at HO Alternators and see what they can do for you. I bought this for $375 shipped to my door in under a week.... 220 amp 13-22 volt adjustable externally regulated. I run around 12kw and 8 batteries off of this currently with no power issues and .1-.6 voltage variation during peak current draw.

$375 for 170a alt., alot better than the quote i got. just now got off the phone with them and they said a 170/90a alt. for my car (92 accord) was $671 plus shipping.

I called Phil at HO Alternators and he told me they don't have one for my car and theres nothing to replace it with on my 2007???? im screwed

thats only for competitors im assumeing. ho wanted $450 for a internally regulated 220a for my explorer.

get one made locally then, and just add a bunch of batteries.
Yeah I'm gonna try that out.. theres a warehouse that makes alternators by my house in delaware.

I'm planning just to have deep cylce under the hood and 1 more for the trunk. Can't add any more than that or I won't have any room for my box, its pretty tight in there. I'll only be using about 2500-3000 watts compared to your 12k so I should be fine.
