Time to get an amp

Hey everyone, I haven't been over here in a while, but I am in need of some opinions. I don't know very much about car audio compared to a lot of you, so I'm seeking help. I am in the market for an amp, I was thinking I need a four channel, but if anyone thinks otherwise let me know. I am looking to spend around $300 and I want a quality amp that will last a long time. I am currently running some Boston Acoustics components in my front doors (s60 I think, whatever the entry level components are) and some smaller BA speakers in my rear doors. I am running these off of my deck (pioneer 880prs), but it's time to give them more juice. I also have a BA GT2 12 inch sub running off of an alpine m350 amp. With that all said, I want an amp that will give me good power in case I upgrade my components, I'm looking at the BA pros, Memphis and MB Quart (any other suggestions would be appreciated) but I don't want to blow my current set-up by over powering them. Can anyone help me understand how to shop for an amp? Should I amp all four speakers or just the fronts? And what amps would you all recomend. I've looked at Phoenix Gold, BA, Alpine and a few others. I know that there are a lot of products out there that I don't know anything about, so if anyone can shine a little light on this for me I would really appreciate it. Oh I guess I should mention that my goal is to create a very well detailed and balanced system based on sound quality and not so much loudness.

first off, you probably don't need rear speakers so you can settle for a 2channel amp and just power ur fronts. It's hard to name all the brands out there, but off the top of my head would be Zed audio, Sundownz, Phoenix Gold, Kicker, Diamond, Audison, Arc. There are more but i'm too lazy to think. Some might fit ur budget, some might not, just shop around.

As far as sub amps go, just find a good Class D, about 1000watts at whatever impedance u might need and you should be set.

Wish i could help u more but i'm kinda having a brain fart right now and i'm sure other members can help u better than me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

P.S. The most important thing to do is use the search button, that can help u more than you think.

So do you recomend a 2 channel? I just don't want to have to buy another amp later. I don't plan on doing much with the back speakers because my doors wont handle much, but I also want to make sure that the sound is full and the staging is nice. How many watts do you think I'll be needing? Thanks for the help I'm sure it's frustrating to get these questions over and over. The search just seemed to turn up so many different and sometimes contrasting opinions.
