time for another car

well i will be transfering to cal poly probably next semester. i dont really want to take my truck down there to let it get beat up, so i was thinking about another car. maybe a 85 chevy full size truck or something. i can make that into a monster for next to nothing. i was thinking about getting a thrasher truck anyway. any of you guys have suggestions for a low cost, thrasher, second car?

Ford Tempo with a 2.3 liter motor an a 5 speed. Throw a turbo kit on... Only like 600 bucks, and eat rice for breakfast. But you are a chevy guy... and a truck guy.

An old Chevy truck with a 350 would be a good choice... They are pretty much indestructable (except for rust) and there are 1000's of mods available.

They look good jacked, they look good slammed, and theey are easy to work on, and you can fit a supercharged 454 without cutting the hood.

I know the reasons for it...I was saying, "I'm confused why this is a decision, just don't take your truck with you if you don't want anything to happen to it."
