Sweet, how old is that XTR1000? Whats that TC9 handle? Can it take more then 1000rms?

I've got an Orion Xtreme 1200 from 99' in the back of my ride right now. The amp kicks ***, but I'll probably take it out and put back in the PA 2250.

I was going to get a Q 12 a few months ago just before they got popular. Then I moved, then broke up with the gf, and moved again... out here. Life has settled down. I'm going to upgrade my front stage first. I'm most likely going to get a Q 10 with a goal of impressive bass with a 10 and a killer enclosure!

A firend of mine has a 10 w7 and allways suprises people when he tells them what he has. Still doesnt hit as hard as my type R's but does pound the lows very well with the box being tuned at 32hz.

The TC9 is a dual 2, and I'm pretty sure 2000wrms wouldn't be the best thing to do. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The sub is rated at 1200rms and the Orion can supposedly push about 1300 although it's only rated at 1000.

well i am going to bring my D9's in a sealed 2.25 cubic foot pushed by a bx1605 wired at 1 ohm. and custom kicks with Q's and Q's in back. also to ten inch w7's under the lifted seat ran by a 1000/1 jl amp. and a 300/4 jl running the Q's.............................

okay so im lieing and i don't quite have that good a set up. but you know.... i can dream

i been searching like crazy for a new setup and so many people on this site though brand names out there without saying why they would be better or different. i am going to buy new comps and subs. i think i want mb quart with d9's put it is so hard to get acurate input on shit.

A lot of people have criticized their tweeters as being rather harsh. I have not heard them so I cannot comment. Your best bet is to read a lot. For me I go on many different forums. Some forums get stuck on certain brands, while other forums focus on other brands. For example go to carstereos.org and you will hear nothing but love for RE and Adire & hate for ED. Go to ICIX and get love for ED. Some forums like Soundsplinter while others don't. Some forums focus more on the pre-made component sets, while a few out there focus more on going DIY (buying individual speakers making your own passives or buying an active crossover).

You sound like you are indecisive and are wanting to explore what is out there. Be patient and make an educated decision. Come to local meetups (come on guys we gotta do this!!!) and listen to what people have in their cars. Find one you like and use that as a baseline. I have RE comps and a RE HC 15 in a huge ported box tuned looooow. You might hear mind and look for products that will give you a sound similar to mine. In that case you can make a post asking what speakers sound like the RE comps, or which ones sound similar but don't have a harsh tweeter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Then again you might hear my sub and think the loooow lows are too much and you're looking for something more like a 10 in a small sealed box.

If you don't get out and listen to a variety of systems you would have no idea what you want out of your system.

Once we get a date set I might roll in my Cavillac, as I have a T110D2 and 4 RF punch coaxials all powered off a T3002.

It hits pretty good for what kind of power it gets.
