Time for amp discussion!

ok heres the thing. i might be gettin 2 12 RE MTs now i talked to RE and they said for a daily driver they hear that people are giving them about 2000watts rms. ok so for 2 of em id need 4000 watts rms. and i would be getting them in the dual 1.9ohm so basicly they are dual 2 ohm which i could wire them down to .5 ohms or i could do them to 2 ohms. now im looking for an amp or amps that have a lot of settings on them. i like all the buttons and stuff that you can tune kinda how jl amps have a lot of tuning options on them. now what amp/amps are available for me to get that will push out enought power and have a lot of tuning options on them. oh and i plan on taking this setup to comps. i will have a port plug so i need it to be strapable so i can add on another amp/amps for burps. thanx in advance for your help.

maybe you should get 4 amps....1000 watts each....are you giving up on the 18 8's? i was pulling for you

either go for the 4 1kw watt amps or get two us 2000x they handle what u are trying to do

dont get a 4000D what ever you do. Unless you want to drain your battery !

yea i may be giving up the 18 8s not cuz its hard or nothing but cuz i built a box for 4 8s so i could have some bump for now and the bass is to tight for me. i liked the low rumble that my xxx would produce and you dont get that with the 8s. their are a great driver and can get really loud but their sound just isnt what i want.

so ok either 2 2000s or 4 1000s what amps though have a ton of tuning options on them? i dont think i wanna buy 4 jl 1000/1 that would be pretty dang expensive!

look at the power acoustik class d series amps. they are strapable and afordable. Go with 2 of the A3000bd and stap them.

i hear that mojo is pretty good but i know nothing about them so your recomendations are appretiated. im looking for an amp that isnt rediculisly pricy but id give myself a limit of $1000

Mojo's do 2000x1@13v and ~2400@14.4. They can be modded for higher voltage and lower imp. Mine's modded, can take higher voltage and supposedly can drop to .25, provided the current.

You can score a pair of em for a grand....

They do full power at 2...

Not sure about dropping them low w/o modding them- you can have them modded at Memphis though...

one thing the 4000d beats the mojo on is pricevs.watts

there not 1k and modding can be done for free, by you.
