2 amps for 1 sub?

You Dumb Bastard...
I was wondering for my two Audiobahn Flame Compressions (spare the lectures) can I use two amps for one sub? For example! a 421D for each voice coil since they are already wired at 2 ohms internally. Is that possible? Also, can I take a mono block amp that can do 4 or 2 ohm and wire one to each 2ohm voice coil, making each amp see only 2ohms? Any suggestions on the least expensive way to power these subs? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can wire one amp to each voice coil, and the amp will only see the impedence of that voice coil (an amp wired to a 2ohm coil will see 2ohms).

As mentioned, use a DMM or 'scope to match the gains perfectly.
