infinity kappas^^^^^^^^

if there are any better 5x7 / 6x8 's out there under 100 bucks my ears are open...im not willing to spend ALL my money on CAR AUDIO....

Why would components sound like shit in your car?

the way my car is set up..plus they cost more and require MORE F UCKIN WIRES in wich i hate..i like simplicity.....i was also considering maybe type r of the kappa in a 5 1/4 form...i have the highs set i just want a little better mid bass....the prob with the kappas is that there 100 rms each...the r's are only 35rms....im lokkin to get a 400a4 rf amp soon to replace my 200a4 rf...so that would help on power issues

well i've ruled out the alpines...i am now considering the kappa 5 1/4's...i will have to do some custom stuff though:(.....the 5 1/4 have a range of 55-21k hz....the 5x7's are 40-21k hz....from my recolection i remember that poeple say any round speaker(varying) will have better midrange/bass then a oval speaker..correct? i would think the 5x7 would, do to the fact it has more cone area..idk...someone inform me how this works...if any reades this f uckin thread:(

Can't comment on the difference between the oval and round speakers, however I have the Kappa 6.75s with 75W going to them. They get plenty loud, but I'm a little disappointed in the harshness of the highs and the lack of lows.

I can probably attribute the lack of low end to the install, but I think in the future I'll buy silk tweeters.
