Time Alignment Help

Hi everyone, Just having a problem in setting up the time alignment for my Pioneer DEH-P8650MP head unit. Does anyone have a step by step tutorial on how to go about doing an optimum set up of the time alignment. or if someone can give me details on how they have set up their time alignment. The Pioneer headunit has its setting calibrated in inches and centimeters.Thanks in advance . Any help would be great.
