tight sq punchy bass HOW?

Actually you can..just have to do a build to box to the back end of the cab and cut some holes in the back of the cab. make an awning type frame with a couple layers of gortex in side of it to keep the water out and bolr/seal it into place
at that point i'd probably just do a blowthrough and a single 15 in the truck bed. i've actually pondered the idea of removing the windows from the topper and the truck, and just putting a boot around that gap, and avoid cutting holes.

so ive gathered i want sealed box. and a decent brand name sub. would alpine type r's 10's work well in a proper sized sealed box? how much power do i want my subs to handle. does that matter. thanks for all the input

Just for fun, build a small sealed box for those 10's you have and see what it sounds like to you. I would go about .75 per sub... thats 1.5 total gross. That cu ft is about average for a ten. I have always had very good luck with tens for the type of sound that you want. Also like was mentioned before, you may want to upgrade your front components, thats where most of the rock midbass will come from anyway.

my fronts are power base KP-694N 6x9's and some soundstorm 4in powered by a power acoutik gothic 4channel amp.

alright I went ahead and bought two alpine type R 10's i know they are not sq subs but i did not hear much "these subs ****" comments.

now I need box recomendations. one box or two seperate boxes sealed or ported? and what cubic ft? thanks

this will be my first ported box build and i dont know how to figure box design for 2 10's so can some one give me a drawing or specs on how to build this. thanks.
