Ti-LMS?

2 Pics for fun, which do you guys think is the better look. MTX cap is heavier, raises Q by .03 and lowers Fs by 3Hz sens is down from 87.13 to 86.49 with the change in Fs and electro-mechanical shifts. Sorry to thread jack bt you needed to see the 4HP and I needed to ask this question lol.

I see some T/S being pulled there, Phill. Surprised to see that you don't hang or clamp the driver. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lol, only suspend it above the floor, no more signal than I use I havent found a gain from using my old test bench (concrete floor 1.5" thick solid oak baffle cut for any size woofer and then they were mounted) this comes out withing .3% and is way more convenient lol.

I'm being serious, I really cant tell, the MTX cap (though degrading) is much cleaner looking in it's lines and lowers the Fs and makes it a tad more musical lol. I'm in a dilemna lol.
I'm being serious, too. Just add mass to the inside of the OG cap and lower Fs that way, lol. Besides, that's how TC does it. Ever look at the underside of the cap on any of your protos?

lol, Q was up from .37 to .4. Driver is BN so they will settle alot, I expect Q to be .3 with stock cone and cap. Fs should rest around 32Hz, With the extra mass from the huge RFL cap, the TSP's should rest Qts of .33 and Fs of 29Hz... both should be fine but the latter def opts for a better F3 for a daily GP lol. Yes, 3Hz matters to me, i'm that OCD about the electro's and TSP's lol.

Go with the mtx cap and invert it? lol, as much as it may help the musicality, that cap is still god awful ugly. I would probably be unable to enjoy the music knowing that there is a monstrosity nearby.

lmao
I get it, I really do. But you can't hardly be that way when you consider what the true fluctuation of the T/S figures actually are in the real world, from early morning cold temps, to high heat on the motor from good hard use. Do you have any idea how wildly they change throughout those dynamics, lol?

Yep, thats why I try not to exceed 100 linear BL Xmax or climb to far above ambient temps lol. So... as much as it begs for it, I will never really give it a workout like it could handle lol.
