Thumping noise on subs when amps are turned on??

I have my amps going to a cross over(low pass) and when i turn on the stereo my subs make one thumping noise , is this normal. Ive had cheaper crossovers before that didnt make that noise this one was more expensive but it makes that noise, only one time when i turn on the stereo.

one is getting power before the other that whys its doing it

i think u put a relay on the remote to get it to stop not sure

shouldnt hurt anything just kinda annoying

Ok sounds eazy enough only thing is that HOW( please be more specific) im not familiar with those terms. APRECIATE THE HELP.

Do you have a Pioneer headunit?

My previous install was doing the same thing, it turned out that I had to ground the RCA's to the back of the deck because Older model Pioneer HU's blow internal fuses.

may not be a ground loop.. sounds like a rem turn on not haveing enough power output to flip the amps on..

anytime you hook up 2 or more amps i allways segest useing a relay..

here's how you do this..

take a relay.

use the blue/white ( rem turn on ) wire from the headunit, wire it up to 85 on the relay.

then ground 86 on the relay

run a wire off the yellow of youre headunit to 87 on the relay

then on 30 of the relay, run off 2 or more remote wire's to the turn on's of the amp..

no more pop.
