thump noise

when i change tracks on my head unit.. the subs make a thump noise or if the volume is all the way down and i turn it up it makes a thump noise.. but when i turn the unit on or off theres no thump noise.

what could be the problem?

the set up is a cerwin vega 1000d with 2 12" memphis hpo's

if u have a sub output on the cd player its prolly the rca i had that happen b4 i was told to reground the rca's it was more trouble than it was worth so i just plugged it into the rear rca output and was fine but i throw that crap in the trash the other day it was a clarion rdx755dz pretty decent, still worked but i hatted that thumpin crap so garbage

yup, RCAs. I used to have a similar problem. It didn't happen between tracks but when I would turn my vol from 1 to 0 it would thump. New RCAs = no more thump
