Thumbs down

Who is this user we are speaking of. The reason I ask is cause I’m immune to reading stupid install advice or terrible info so I haven’t picked up on it 😅. I would like to know so I can turn off my immunity and actually read it 🤣

Just look for a Hawaiian fella talking about Metra adapters and wiring batteries in series 🤣

I think a better approach to thumb downs counting against a reaction score, may be to expose more of a user’s total reactions, not just the positive ones. If you click any members profile you can view all their reactions indexed, by clicking reactions. I can include a link on messages thumb up score to this window, to make it more visible.
yeah but new people will never know to do that, and they are the one's that won't know how stupid it is.

Here's one I just saw and this is him getting better.

No not needed. The difference in gain on the amplifier would not draw more power from the battery. Still yet efficient. The gain in volts is a small number. 0.00xxxx something like this number. This means the amplifier is still efficient. Not needed is to set anything yet.

I quoted it as it was said. This was one post. Now it doesn't show that, and it's not edited. Is this a mod screwing with us?

So after being given this info, me looking and reading for about 2.69 minutes, I’ve come to the conclusion this person has no idea what they are talking about, has terrible grammar skills, writes like a Nigerian scammer, and probably should be banned from the forum. Am I correct here or?

Yep check out the one thread where he questions why the 70 AH is being used as that is for R/C stuff.

I guess AH has no business in car audio at all with regards to batteries.

Let trolls be trolls. The only way advice can be harmful is if someone follows it. DIY comes with risk. If someone doesn't have enough knowledge to know the basic safety risks of a project and follows the first post they see, then that's on them.

Reputation score is only used as a source of pride and competition. Someone with a million thumbs up from the thunderdome doesn't necessarily know jack about car audio.

I don't think we should ban people for being incorrect. If that were the case, most of the people on this forum would be gone, because most people on this forum don't understand basic electronics and parrot things they read online.

The solution to dislike-wars is to disable dislikes between ignored users. That way either party can end it. Another option is to lock threads after a period of inactivity (but then the goat would get bored).

I purposely went on a short rampage on thumbs downing every post he was making until i said to hell with it after he thumbs down almost everyone in my jp33 thread.dude is kinda ignorant if ya ask me but maybe you shouldn't lol.
I figured he must have really pissed you off, because you are usually one of the more patient users here.
