I guess as a group we can at least thumbs down the posts that have bad info and hopefully that save somebody from making a bad mistake. So often the user in questions advice is misguided that it doesn't even make sense.

Most of the time, I have no idea what he's talking about. Itoften doesn't relate to the subject at all.

Vehicles a very expensive these days and to maintain along with the fuel we put in them compared when I grew up in my time.12v isnt anything to play around with, and even up to 16v or even 24v if you are not experienced enough to properly wire correctly and end with damaged goods,vehicle damage or even loose fingers,become blind instantly or even worse/set fire to your vehicle or have a piece of a fuse block go through your temple and become brain damaged for life..

Idk what to think on him. As it almost sounds like he is using google translate sometimes or an AI program. Either way some bad info is being put out there. Been a couple posts that were not like that but the rest almost downright scary. Hate to see someone blow up their car audio equipment or burn down their car over it.

I mean no one is perfect in any subject and especially not in car audio. We've all made mistakes installing stuff. But a lot of people here have a ton of knowledge that is dead on right.

I can say for sure.. I myself have blown up quite a bit of car audio when I first started.Ive learned what not to do in general from making expensive mistakes that one earns with theyre hard worked coin, and try to pass on my bad experiences as well as the good, and Im still learning from a lot of you guys.There are some very intellectual individuals on this site and I really appreciate learning from everyone one here. . I grew up without a cell phone, no TV up until I was approx 10,no internet at all, all phone calls were out of area, and long distance on a dial up,and the closest Audio shop was approx. 60 miles away from me,that I may have made it there at least once a week with some gas money?? LOL,and making $5.25 an hour. LOL.. Therse days.. Information is pretty much at our finger tips, but its always up to that individual to either except or decline any and all advice given. The internet and the Trolling individuals that are on it can not be policed 24/7. Its an open door so to speak as we know it as well as they.Yet.. I feel like its a right , a humane duty to speak out and bash the one misleading one towards the possibility of injury ,loss, and expense

Like it is now by a certain someone who is pissed because of several of us saying stop with the bad posts. So he down votes every post he can when he sees them.

I’m going to chime in. I don’t know a great deal about installing but I tend to verify ideas before I use them.
If it’s worded correctly it is more palatable as an idea but often those who appear to know nothing or lay out a seemingly insane idea on a part of installation stand out as just that, to me. It’s usually inflammatory and the ignorance is obvious.
Truth, when a new member or anyone uses information contained here it’d be nice if the crazy crap or insane ideas were separated but that freedom of speech thing prevails. If some degenerate wants to post some ideas posed as valid information It is up to the users to sift through that. Often a keyword search will Be useless to my efforts to find good information.
Word match doesn’t work well.
To the trolls or degens posting insanity, keep it on twitter or snap.

Yeah a little bit. Without getting into politics, freedom of speech's intention was made, because the biggest threat to their livelihood 500 years ago, was saying something bad about their king, and they would be killed for it. It doesn't apply to car audio website that can have whatever rules they want to make for their own property, WHICH SHOULD INCLUDE a halt to excessive wrong and dangerous misinformation. There is no reason to protect someone's misinformation here. We SHOULD be wanting to protect the newcomers that are trying to learn, but don't yet know. They are eventually going to just get to them first, and cause them problems.

I think a better approach to thumb downs counting against a reaction score, may be to expose more of a user’s total reactions, not just the positive ones. If you click any members profile you can view all their reactions indexed, by clicking reactions. I can include a link on messages thumb up score to this window, to make it more visible.
