throw me any suggestions!! 1000 at 2 ohms for 2 assassins!

hey folks, we're looking at a $150-$250 budget for a 800-1000RMS amp at 2 ohms...

its gonna be for two assassin 10's...

I've looked at:

KENWOOD KAC-9102D - 850RMS @ 2 ohms - $185

any other suggestions?

Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1 they are more like 800-850wrms.

Phoenix Gold Octane 15.0:1 they are 1000wrms @2ohms.

I have a Xenon and I Like It alot. If you look on ebay you can get the X600.1 for about 220 shipped. You can get the Octane for about 250.00 shipped. I think you will be fine with the X600.1 the Assasins are 350wrms. I have a pair sitting in my basement along with 1 8" . But I just ordered a RL-p12 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif to change out my RE SE12 so it will be a while before I hear what the 10s sound like. Let me know how you like them when you get them in.

the 1200d is wayy to expensive for me...i don't got $400 to put towards a amp...(poor college kid)

anyways, chad himself says the assassins can really handle more power than the atlas and even said they should be fine with 500-600 "with care" because of their extra long voice coil...

um. are they dual 2 ohm subs?

why not just get two cheap 400w 2 channel amps and bridge them at 4 ohms and set the gains to match?

unfortunately they are single 4 ohms...they were ment to be home and car subs but they're not selling too well because of they are not so flexible so i heard they are getting rid of the single 4's and dedicateing them to car and make them DVC's....

thats a good idea...those AURA RPM2300's look very tempting at a bill a piece...it will give each one 450 each...

good thought...i'll add that to my list of things to think about...

central wi...i have a few buddies there that i visit often so if i wanted it, you could just give it to them and i'd just pay ya but i'm just comtemplating for now...thanks for the offer tho...i'll let u know in a week or so...
