Thread if the Year: Amp in Protect

My power acoustik 1250 watt amp stays on for a lil bit but them when the bass hits hard it cuts off i check the following:

Ground Wire

RCA

REMOTE

SPEAKER

POWER(RED WIRE)

i hAVE A 4 GAUGE AMP KIT WITH A 60a FUSE

BUT I PLAYS FOR A LIL BIT THEN IT JUS CUTS OFF EVEN WHEN I TURN MY CAR OR THE SIDE AMP LIGHT TURNS RED I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

what amp? what ohm load are the subs wired down to?

i doubt voltage drop check everything again check your fuses.

i had the 1600 watt power acoustik amp it only did like 600 rms

you're most likely getting voltage drops to the point that the amp goes into protect.you need to check/monitor the voltage.

Need to know:
Model number of amp, and is it a 2-channel or mono amp?

What subs are they (be specific), and what voice coil configuration? (SVC? DVC? What impedance?)

How are they wired? (parallel? Series/Parallel? Parallel/Parallel?)

what gives you doubt? you dont even know what kind of electrical he has.. Checking the voltage is a start. Could be overheating or something also... Does the amp get hot to the touch?

well for one i know he has a new battery

that doesn't mean anything. new battery doesn't automatically throw out possibilities for drops

did not say that he asked me what i knew about his electrical and told him.

im just going by what is posted. if more info is posted then can prolly make a more accurate assumption.
