Thoughts on this setup?

After Looking through some reviews on certain dubs and amps I've came up with this duo of sub and amp but not sure if they will perform well together

What do yu guys think?

Drive 2006 honda civic si-has factory a 8" "sub" and amp already.

American bass xfl12 and ph4000md and custom box is within budget and much better imho

ANY of those choices are better than the CURRENT RE lineup - xfl's are a really good bang for your buck...

All the subs are good options. I like the Lethal Injections - I owned one. The XFL is in a whole different class though, it'll take a TON of power and get loud and low in the right box (about 2 cubes tuned to 32-34hz) I currently have a pair of XFLs and I love them.

The phantom isn't a "bad" amp but I'd honestly take the Hifonics over it. It will do rated power or very near. Another good choice would be the PPI bk1800.1 - that would save money and give you headroom to do stuff like deadening and upgrading your electrical.

Who knows anyone here who can send me a good custom box for a single sub? Can only afford one sub at the moment.

Will I need to make any electrical mods to my car with this setup?

on a budget if you get 2 apsm 1500 at around $125 each and strap them you should be able to get clean 2k on it. and if you get dvc2 on those xfl you will be at 2ohm shish is strapped power for 2 amps

Alright cool, I'm new to this scene so I'm learning as I go but I cross check the xfl max rms says 2000,

And the hifonics Brutus RMS power rating says "1ohm: 2000Watts x 1chan.

So If i wire the sub down to 1ohm it will receive it's maximum 2000rms power right?

Or Am I horribly wrong ha.
