I get tired of people judging rapper and shit calling them elemteray, STFU... If you dont like him then don't say shit but the fact is he is hot to alot of others and the fact that you don't feel what he spits means you can't relate to most of the shit he says. Just like any rapper you do like your like okay im feelin this cause you can relate to it but if you cant you call the rapper garbage. it's nonsence

sooooo all the lil wayne fans in here relate to what he is saying and thats what makes him a good rapper?

good rapper = clever metaphors, good wordplay

bad rapper= same repetitive ideas talked about in a different way

how many times do you need lil wayne to talk about money before you realize he hasnt said anything new or creative?

Dude, what are you talking about? I can't feel what he says? He sounds like every other rapper, talking about himself and money. But he claims to be the best rapper alive, and he's far from that. That's why I hate on him.
And if you go look at his lyrics, and then compare it to somebody like Pharoahe Monch, or Rakim or Immortal Technique, or anybody who has REAL SKILLS, you'll know what i'm talking about when I say elementary.

Like i was saying if don't understand what i'm saying by that then his music isn't really ment for you but no real reason to bash him, and um Rakim andwhoever else you named are cool but not really my tastes they have there issues but they don't really spit anything that pertains to me or mines so that i can't relate, Well ocassionally they do with a few select songs.

You don't have to have gone through the same experiences to get a feeling for what rappers have gone through. If one said i've lost my family member this and that, well yeah we know what that feels like, it sucks. if they say i just butt plugged in jail and bla bla bla, you dont need to experience that to know it sucks. You're just butthurt because you like lil wayne and you dont want anybody to make fun of him. i can tell you dont take criticism well. And if you listen to Kottonmouth Kings, you know theyre about smoking weed, fat sacks, blunts, etc...i like their music and i dont relate to them. I've smoked only once and still bump "Day Dreaming Fazes" which goes like this:

day dream fazes time goes by,

thats what happens when you get high

head's always cloudy words is lies

day dreamin fazes i.s.i.

as you can clearly tell its about gettin high and thats somethin i dont do, yet i still like them, thus, you dont need to relate to like their music.

There's alot more to it than just the lyrics also but i do understand what your saying. ok to each his own but me being from new orleans i grew up on the hot boys b.g. master p and soulja slim and to me wayne wen he first came out was more of a storry book rapper but now he has grown out of that and to those who say wayne is garbage and i admit sum shit he says even throws me a lil bit but his lyrics are some of the best out AT THE TIME and as far as hip hop is concerned its so fuccked up frm these corporate white america ceo's feeding the labels watthey want thats y thier is 0 to none orignallilty in the game y do u think young jeezys album sales arent as good b/c u can only talk bout hustlin so many times b4 it becomes the same song diff beat. now back to wayne those who say he is weak must not listen to many of his undergorund productions wayne is the best their is right now in the game love it or hate it

Lil wayne (in my opinion) is one of the brightest most deticated rappers out there. and i see him on the mainstream level, since i do listen to all types of music.

At first i didnt like him either, i wasn't paying attention to what he has to say but after i heard him..i can say this ***** IS CLEAN!!!!

He may not be on the same lyrical level as other more underground rappers that don't put hits out...but thats what mainstream is...thats why he is so popular, he puts out hits...he puts out music that the media thinks people like us wants to play. but at the same time he does have CRAZY METEPHORES and RETARDED PUNCHLINES

you guys probably only see him on the mainstreem page..but he does do alot of work in the mixtape game. HE PUTS OUT LIKE 3 MIXTAPES A MONTH..all knew songs..one of the best mixtapes he has put out was BLOW (can't feel my face) duel with Juel santana...And not alot of people know about those songs becuase they dont appear on his album, let alone radio and TV...

But he is way lyrical...but i do not believe he speeks the same intellect as atmosphere...benifit...royce...jedi mind tricks..thats why he is on a different level!...he speeks differently and can rap about what hes been throug, what hes got, the things HE MAKES POPULAR..the INVENTOR OF THE TERM **BLING BLING**

He can be as lyrical as tech n9ne if he wanted to...hes crazy...his freestyles are crazy..listen to him..download his mixtapes..and listen to what he says...is tight..honestly. the carter i really liked..the carter too was ok too but i liked his first cd better..

But everyone is entitled to there opinion...but stating the mere fact that he only based his rap on his money is a stupid reason not to like him. you HAVN'T HEARD HIM..just the mainstreem media what they put out...which utterly i dont like either..i love rap..but i had what the radio plays...what bet videos play..

the best songs are NOT displayed like this..listen to him...hes NICE!!
