Thoughts on Lil Wayne??

homie lil wayne is the best out there, listen to his lyrice insane, they acutally make sense...instead of alot of rappers out there just trying to "rhyme" and sounds stupid cause it makes not one ounce of sense, lil waynes been my fav rapper for a long time.

I hate when people try to divide hip hop into sections like "club bangers" and "lyricists" To me rap only has a couple things going for it, good lines and flow that go along with nice beats. With wayne being the worst writer/rapper ever, all he has is beats. He just makes good beats sound worse with his voice shitting all over them. "club bangers"= people who cant write worth a **** so come up with a repetitive style with mediocre one liners beat to death over and over, oh yeah jeezy weak as **** too!!

Rap has its purposes...it bumps. And honestly, the demographics I think it tries to reach out to is the younger kids. It's sad because the messages they deliver are so explicit that they don't need to be exposed to that at all. How many 30 yr olds do you see playing rap?

The effect it has is simple, so many wannabe thugs. Reminds me of high school when we had a "gang" called T-side, short for taiwanese side. Nobody was Thai, they were middle easter, white, mexican, etc, pretty lame actually. Now you got 12 year old girls wearing skirts with their ******* showing and gettin pissed off of being called a ho. Well shit, let me dress like a cop and have someone come up to me and want to arrest a burglar and then I tell them, "oh im not a cop, i'm just dressed like one." Misleading aint it? There's no reason to show your cooch, sag your pants below your knees (where it should be around the waist/hips), smoke weed, and drink, when you don't even have any pubes. Too much of the younger generation is fvcked up. I'm not lookin at this from an "old" person perspective, I'm 23 and I have worked in recreation since I was 16. I'm not gonna say I never drank alcohol or tried smoking some weed, I have, but I didnt do it at such a young age and I did it with moderation, minus the 3 times where I've gotten shit faced drunk. It happens, but da/mn, at such a young age, why? It doesn't help when you got rappers making it seem like its the life to be doing these things as well.

I'll take my Phil Collins albums over rap any day, cos Phil Collins is the shit. If you think otherwise, then you're ghey and don't know shit either, why cos I said so, and who am I to say this, just another human being, its an opinion so dont get butthurt, so if you think i'm talkin about you....then i'm really talking about you.

A lot of people like Lil Wayne for his flow. But yet, his flow is NOTHING compared to Tech N9ne, Pharoahe Monch, Ghostface, Bun-B, Rakim, and others. Not even close.
The entire wu-tang has great flows. Method man and redman are da/mn creative. rza as well. well like i said, the entire wu-tang.

He's not talking about being a fireman //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
And have you even listened to his cd's or have you listened to one and judged him solely off of that?

Since he's has no lyrical talent, he's making millions more than you do. How does that make you feel? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Exactly, you have to listen to the music carefully.

You don't have to kill someone to get the tears, it's also for anyone lost that you love, smart one.

If you dont want to hear any of that, dont listen to 95% of the rap thats out there. Like I said before, you have to listen closely on what he's saying sometimes, and dont base him off of one song, listen to the stuff before you start ragging on it
you get a tear drop if someone dies in the inner part of theye not the outta wayne isnt no g my dude.

Why do people want to hear people gloat about all the things they have? I never did understand that. Cash money records? Thats a ****in joke, that whole record label was ****ing retarded period.

yea i like lil wayne but im not like omg he's the best rapper alive type s@#$% but yea tech nine has nice flows eminem i think is one the best rappers with words has anyone heard of lil wyte

There are lots of good music that has loud bass. Perfect Circle is the first thing that comes to mind b/c its in my HU right now. I don't think it really has a purpose.
I agree, there are lots of other types of music that bump. I really like some rock that has some sick double bass. Sublime has some stuff that really bumps, like caress me down and waiting for my ruca. Phil Collins's "A Groovy Kind of Love" hits so nice and smooth. I can't wait to get my car back so I can get loud to non-rap music and make those next to me bumping rap look stupid cos im louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I pretty much stopped listening to rap when high school was done... since then the genre has turned to crap with a few exceptions. Lil Wayne is about the only rap I still listen to and the only records I buy.

Da Carter FTW!
