Thoughs on these subwoofer options...

Ok, so i have 2 Old style RE SX 12s.

And 1 DD9515 dual 1ohm.

I had the DD9515 hooked to a hifonics colossus (~3200RMS)

It is really loud, but at full volume you can start to smell burn coil...

option 1 is to keep the single DD9515.

Option 2

To sell the DD9515 and recone the RE SX12s with FI recones?

or Something that can handle the 3kw of the amp...

What are your thoughs?

Scope the amp and make sure you're giving that DD a clean signal and it shouldn't smell.
