Those with P880PRS or P800PRS

How is it a harness problem?
It means the pre-outs of the 860 were better than the 880. Tis all.
a short, or bad wire, in the harness. 2000lade's 7800 would constantly read 16.6v until i gave him a new harness, then it was dead accurate.

pre-out voltage really doesn't mean a whole lot.. lol. lower gain settings. woo!

Nah, there was definitely a marked difference between the 860 preouts and 880prs, I've owned multiples of both and both times the 860's signal was much much stronger and cleaner.

It means a lot to anyone that appreshates SQ, higher signal to noise ratio.

The quiet hissing that some systems have when the music is in between tracks but the volume is way up, if you have high voltage preout and gains set properly you can eliminate that.

Hmmm interesting. I just upgraded to 880 PRS today from a deh-p8600mp. I loved the 8600 but I upgraded for no reason also, because I was bored in my life. I admit the 880 is pretty nice but I still need to tweak with it more to perfection. I loved the 8600 color, but the blue and white on the 880 is sexy. By the way, does anyone use the Time Alignment feature on any of the pioneer decks?

I used it on the 880 when I had it. The Auto TA that the 880 has built in does a pretty good job, actually better than I could do...however the Auto EQ was sub-par IMO so I turned that feature off.

So now what do you like more the p880prs or the 8600? I am planning to buy a new radio: the p880prs or p860 or p960!?!?!

Yeah Im looking to get the 800 whenever it comes out. I really do like my 860mp. In fact its the longest lasting part of my system! Everything else has been swapped out at least twice. I just want the voltage to see if Im getting any huge voltage drop. Im not really worried about .5 volts. Im only running 1400watts MAX and I hardly ever turn it up all the way.

I would have to say that the 880 is a nice deck. I'm still tweaking with it, but does anyone know how to Mute speakers? I held down onto the multi-control on the speaker option but it just allows me to adjust the levels for my left or right speakers. The 8600 allowed me to completely mute the front or the rear speakers so I could adjust my subwoofer how i wanted to. Oh yes....the 880 is a very very nice deck, the 8600 is a great deck but the 880 is better.

I tried to mess with the TA but, I got so confused with the CM and inch and the numbers are even in decimals. I don't think i'ma gonna mess with the TA For awhile. Anyone knows if you can put new Screen Entertainment on the 880? I did it for the 8600, and even created a few of my own.

Use the Auto TA feature, read up on it in the manual it's a fairly simple process.

And no, you can't add any backgrounds to the 880 screen.
