Currently I have a P860MP and looking for something new for no real reason

Im looking at the new 800 and wondering if it has the volt reading feature that some of the other Pioneers do. It would be helpful since my car doesnt have one.

880 does... not sure how accurate it is, though. I think mine actually reads low on the headunit. Maybe by 1/2 a volt or so. Have yet to do real-time testing on it though.

It's not 100% accurate but it was pretty close when I used it.

I was using the diagnostic tool for VWs, and the measuring block I was in listed battery voltage, so for comparison reasons I put the voltage background on the 880, and there was a difference of about half a volt to a volt.

Slight OT...do you like your 860??? I am thinking of buying one...I have run into one that is extremely clean that I might get...would you be selling yours??

860mp is a nice HU, but besides the pre-out voltage is not near the 880prs.

I can be a cheap butt at times...I may still wait and just save the few extra bucks for the 880. Dang I can be impatient sometimes.

That is pretty bad. Mine never read over 14.5 which was pretty accurate as far as I'm concerned, though it wasn't perfect by any means.

my 780 is accurate within 1 volt. multimeter reads within 1 volt of the head unit..

i think it's kinda vehicle dependant.

that is a harness problem, not the unit, i had a harness that did the same.

It means the pre-outs of the 860 were better than the 880. Tis all.
