this work for sound deadening?

its not thick foam wise.... and it has grit on it..... so i dont know if it would work so well....

(incase any one is wondering it goes on a roof under the shingles for 3 or 6 feet (high and full width of the roof starting at the bottom edge of the roof) and all the way up in valleys etc to protect against the ice that can creep under the shingles and cause leaks in a house)

could i use multiple layers? I got like 50 bucks and I would like to atleast have my trunk, doors, rear deck lid for sure!!!!, and possibly headliner.. I really want the rattles to be gone! onno if i can do it with 50 bucks though. So you don't think this stuff would work?? I dont really care about sound proofing but rather i want the rattles to be gone.. if that makes any sense?

I got some of that foam pad stuff someone recommended (I didnt know what it was or looked like until I got it shipped to my house) and it actually worked pretty well. I was realllllllly sceptical when I saw it... 50sq. ft. only costed like 50 bucks, and weighed 6-7 lbs... but i didnt have money to buy more, and already spend my money on this stuff..and sure enough it gets the job done.

somewhat ot, but could lining the bottem of your trunk help stop your fuel pump from rattling to the point it goes out? cause imo if the $250 for a new fuel pump coulda been spent on deadener i'd of thought twice
