Im writing because last night I was watching Foxnews on directv and they ran a story about how people in the united states are cutting down on their driving because of soaring gas prices.Man you are really screwed, i cant imagine not driving my truck because of gas prices, or having to pay 40 bucks to fill my tank. Here in venezuela we use our cars more than our feet, If we could fit a car into a house we'd be driving to the toilet, I spend a lot of time joyrinding in my truck, wheter its drinking a few beers, or lighting up an occasional joint. I drive a nissan frontier 3.0L turbo diesel pickup with a 20 gallon tank. Last night I filled my tank for a grand total of 3000 Bolivares ( roughly $1.25), each tank lasts for about 800kms (500 miles), so I have to fill it about 5 or 6 times a month, so my monthly expenditure in gas is about 10 dollars tops.Remember this is diesel fuel so its like 40% cheaper than gas, a gallon of premium 95octane gas goes for about 350bolivares (about 0.15$), 91 octane is even cheaper. Well guys, I guess you're going to have to deal with it for a while (maybe now theyll seriously start looking into hybrid stuff).

P.S. Also to let you know that things can always get worse. A few days ago we had an OPEC summit here in venezuela and our crazy motherF!*ing president wanted to cut production even further to cause a rise in gas prices... So you guys dodged a bullet there.... well... Best of luck to you all... MD. Heres a picture of my baby.-

My friend was watching a video on the internet (its has to be true...jk) about a new source of fuel for vehicles. In the near future we could be using water and normal gas for fuel. They ran a test and got 100 miles off of 4 ounces of water... I dont have a link but, if people are wanting one, i'll get one.

well yeah, i remember the gas being super cheap there...but i also remember the government making up for it a thousand other ways. id rather pay $3.00 a gallon than put up with the political situation there...

You know they only make a few cents a gallon in profit, right ? It just so happens that they sell a shitload of gallons //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yea, but they could still drop prices like 50 cents around the country and still profit billions.

Here in the bay area the cheapest gas i have found was $2.99 at an arco gas station. my truck (04 silverado ext cab 5.3L) cost me almost $80 to fill up today. im on the verge of selling it but i really dont want to i love that truck. i will however be getting a motorcycle to commute weather or not i keep my silverado.
