This is louder? Trunk setup

With a trunk setup someone on here told me that it would be louder if i moved the enclosure to the trunk hatch.. but for some reason i don't believe him

so closer to trunk = louder ???

i got a trunk setup ima do my firing inside the cabin sealed. i think it also depends howmuch power u runnin not sure got couple different theorys on it

I've tried firing the sub in/port in but i didn't like it too much..

right now i have 3.7cubes sub back/port back

running about 1300 watts

but then someone else told me i would be losing pressure because it would be TOO close to the drunk hatch

prolly better just nice ported box firing back and port back.. and curious y u didnt like it? ima b runnin bout 5kwatts rms so might b diff. who knows.

5k? definately a bigger setup than what i have so you'll probably get better results.. mine just didnt sound right was louder firing back so that's how i left it

most trunks are loud with sub forward port to the side. Pretty much every loud trunk car I've head was setup like that, including my own. Cavaliers are loud with sub and port forward with the trunk lid OPEN. Just have to experiment.
