he died today. carried him outside to go to the bathroom (can't climb the steps anymore) brought him back in layed him on his bed and a couple hours later i see him motionless with his mouth open. his sided weren't moving so i nudged him a few times and he was dead.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I am going throw a ruff one as well. Just took my dog to the vets and they gave me this medicene to help her with control of her bladder. She is pissing on the carpet like crazy and every weekened have to clean the carpet. It is working now, but doc's said it could cause cancer. But they said that could take years as there are other problems that will arise before that. It will **** to lose her, but life goes on and knowning me as much as I love my dog, sometimes getting another one helps cope with the pain. Good luck with the surgery.

we had a bird for a few years. my dad went to the flea market and bought a girl bird so they could be friends or w/e. well the girl bird died because it was sick when we bought it, and our older bird also caught it and died. a few months ago my dad let a dog into our backyard to play with our other dog. well the dog decided to go after our cat and our cat died that night.

well my dog is 15 years old, and is blind, deaf, balding, and getting weak. his eye is swollen and puss is coming out, so i gotta take him to the vet to get his eye drained and some teeth pulled. the vet said because of his age and health, he will probably die during the surgery, meaning he won't wake up from the anestesia. so this looks the end.

it's weird cause i'm 20 and the dog was 15. he was around during the bad boys era. we named him bandit cause my mom liked little house on the prairy and their dog was named bandit. then we got our second dog, we named him smokey (smokey and the bandit) when my other dog died, i took off 2 days of work and the manager sent me home cause i was so upset he thought i was sick, but this time i'm not as bad as the other one. i guess cause i knew bandit was dying and he died naturally.

sorry to hear man. Losing a dog can hurt too... Hopefully it was not a painful death for the dog and I hope you have many great memories of your dog to keep.

My dog died last year... she was 14 years old, had seizures (sp?), part blind and deaf to go along with other medical problems... and cost us $450 monthly on medication... Even tho most would see my dog as a problem dog, I loved having her around...

it was basically putting him to sleep with the small hope he would survive, but we know now he obviously wouldn't have lived through it.
