this is gonna ****....

well i'm not actually putting him to sleep. they are doing a surgery on him and they doubt he will survive it. there is a chance he will though. he eats and drinks like a horse, but his face is starting to swell

Yah, my cat (18 years old) had to be put down this summer after he had a stroke. I was semi okay with it until I had to bury him in the backyard, then I cried like a baby for a few hours, was a little down for a few days, then was fine.

You know it was for the best. You can be glad, think back on how they chaped you, and know once they were in pain that you did the best for them.

and over the years he began to smell bad, lose his teeth, go blind in one eye, become deaf, and quite ornry (sp?).
That is the condition our Pug is in now. He is a PITA because he is so stubborn. But I love him:)

i feel for you man. i had 2 full blooded alaskan huskies since they were pups. on got real sick and died then about a week later the other got real sick but we got to him before it got any worse. i still miss the one that passed but im grateful to still have my other one. hope all goes well during surgery though.

well my dog is 15 years old, and is blind, deaf, balding, and getting weak. his eye is swollen and puss is coming out, so i gotta take him to the vet to get his eye drained and some teeth pulled. the vet said because of his age and health, he will probably die during the surgery, meaning he won't wake up from the anestesia. so this looks the end.
We put down our 14 year old dog last year, I had him since I was 3.. since I could remember.. that was pretty hard.

Best of luck, Just remember all the fun times.. and think of the good life he lived.

awww im sorry man.... shit happens like that.... i know that i was crushed when my hampster died... but that isnt quite the same thing:crap:
i was the same way with my guniea pig. loosing a pet is the hardest thing kuz u have such a bond with them. i cant imagine life with out my puppy. but u have to do whats best for them.

This was my wife and my first kid. She was about 12 years old. She got a bone tumor in her jaw and couldn't eat. Vet said she wouldn't live through surgery to try and remove it. It was defiantly a sad day for my wife and I.

I know how ya feel iceteebone. Sorry to hear about it.
