this forum needs help badly..

Not to sound immature or anything, but you guys have written a book arguing about this. While I can appreciate a heated intellectual debate, this is just nostalgia vs discipline. It's now degraded to the point that you are no longer arguing about the forums as much as you are making personal attacks at each other.

i agree 100% but he attacked me with nonsense and is trying to prove his point by making up things i said? i didnt attack him til he came at me with his arrogant attitude like hes king dingaling.

Well then you will bee glad that, like I said above, Im done going back and forth with you over this 'nonsense'. Misterdeadeye is exactly right when he says we are ultimately on the same side. What has thrown me for a loop with you, all day long, is why me explaining to you that you simply didnt realize the rules you want to exist do exist, and that we mods just need some help from the members, hasn't been enough to get you to stop making the same complaints over and over. You are upset, I get that. Help me and the other mods enforce the rules, and one of these days a discussion like this will no longer be necessary.

Look, Im tired of this back and forth with you. I could have told you to deal with it, or leave, this morning. But Ive spent a good deal of time today trying to reason with you and show you that we mods ARE trying to improve things. I didnt have to, but I did. But you seem to just want to pick a fight, Im done trying to get you to be reasonable. The old saying 'cant please everyone'... it was talking about you in this instance.
The bottom line is, we mods simply cant read every reply, in every post, every day. Aint gonna happen. You want to volunteer to do it? Didnt think so. So, we HAVE to rely on the help of the members to report posts they see that violate the rules. If that's too much trouble for you, fine, whatever. But we do have members that help regularly. And maybe even more will step up to help due to the heightened awareness this debate today has created for the topic.

then this thread served its purpose if it gets people to not tolerate the trolling.. not asking for you to make me happy. im asking for you to do what the rules state. i dont care if you dont like me i wont lose sleep over you a bit. also you never tried to reason with me at all..you attacked me with made up things ive said and denial of an actual issue..but whatever thats fine i think people know the issue and hopefully it will get better.. and maybe we can actually get some of the quality members back that were here or new ones to come and not get harassed..and better yet company reps to come back would be great.

i am on your side.. which is why i dont understand why you attacked me for pointin it out?! doesnt make sense.. my complaint is legit.. i will gladly help to enforce the rules by reporting trolls/harassment.. this whole debate could have been avoided if you would have talked instead of instantly attacking me for making a complaint.

I appreciate the perspective, but Im not sure how Ive been attacking anyone here personally. Again Im the guy saying things like "I respect your opinion" and that I dont have anything against the guy personally, while he's been replying that Im acting like some arrogant king. Ive been patient with him, and Ive spent a fair amount of time on my day off trying to get him to understand my perspective, and all I seem to get for it is being lumped in with his insulting behavior and merely one of the two instigators.

I guess I'll try approach number two, stop responding altogether. That will, of course, bring on a new wave of complaints that the mods dont listen, but that's a bridge I can cross another day.

Alright I think thats enough for one day.

Point is the TDome will always be the TDome minus the racial slurs and ******. Anything else goes. The trolling is not welcomed in the tech sections which are basically everything except the TDome. If you see an issue report it, it takes a second. If thats to much to ask then you dont have any right complaining about it either.

If that's how you want to believe it went down, that's fine. Ive expended all the energy I am willing to today. If it ends with Im just an aggressive arrogant tyrant, Im willing to live with it at this point. Have a nice night.
