This car FTW?

Found this car for sale local and were going to go look at it tommorow, for my GFs first car. Its a 72 dodge charger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I am selling my 1972 Dodge Charger Special Edition. It is Plum Crazy Purple with a 318 small block. It does need to be restored but is in pretty good shape. It had a small fire under the hood on the air filter. All that was damaged was the air filter and a small 10 inch by 10 inch circle on the hood. It might run right now but also might need a little tlc to help it along. I am asking $3000 but will take best offer. Please email me if you are interested in it.
Thanks

I sent her and email and came to find its an older lady, it was her first car and apparently she just stopped driving it one day and that was it. She says it has some rust in some spots but nothing too bad, the fire that went under the hood was most likely a carb fire from the engine sitting up for a while when she tried to start it. Shes unsure of the mileage because she hasnt been in the car in a while, but ill find that out when i look at it tommorow.

Whats peoples general opinion about the older dodge cars in general? Ive heard the dodge 318 was a pretty bulletproof engine and they still use variations of it today. Anything i should look out for when i check out the car?

it's a classic. i'd buy it just to have it, if i had the cash.

how old is the GF? idk about this as a first car for a woman. she's gonna trash it/wreck it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

thats the best color on that car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Great classic Mopar, wouldn't let a new driver near it. Buy it, put it in a garage and sell it for 20k in a few years.
If it hasn't gone up to 20k in 37 years I doubt it will be there in 3 more. Stupid first car if you ask me. I'm sure it will make a great daily driver, and parts should be easy to find //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

GF just turned 19, she loves the color purple on it too lol. Shes not a stupid ***** like most girls, she actually has common sense. I think itd be a great car to have, because she can drive it and whatever for however long she wants, and ill fix things on it every now and then. If we get tired of it we can throw it on ebay and be done with it.

you'll be on the other side of the fence when she drives it up under someone's range rover.

x2, getting a first car thats nearly twice her age, v8 domestic, and had an engine fire isn't exactly the brightest idea. Try a 90's import like Honda, Nissan, or Toyota if you want to be cheap. For 3k you could even get a decent b2000 or S10.
