facing back? try turning it around. You need some way to let air into the cabin, taking out the back speakers is easiest.

alright will do man thanks for pointing that out.. the box completely seals everything off because it is pushed up right against the back seat and is a tight fit so nothing can get through.. cant believe i never thought of that

Or you could push it close to the back of the trunk, try it a few inches away from the back of the car.
