opps and i forgot is this amp reliable like is it true wattage or is it overrated lke hifonics and are phoenix gold amps good?

The amp would work fine ... but i use kicker's as well and make sure that ur sub can be wired to 2 ohm... some subs can't be wired there like mine have to be 1 ohm or 4 ohm 2 simply isnt possible so check that first then the amp should be fine how ever i would go with a hyphonics BXi1206d and set it at 1 ohm more bang for ur buck and the impediance difference wont even be noticable but its all up to u and ur preferances.

Hifonics amps are overrated? I always thought it was the latter...

And yup, that amp'll do fine.

no, hifonics amps arent over rated... just alot of people dont use them correctly.
