I have two sundown sd-2 10's .53f^3 per sub sealed behind rear seat of 05 gmc sierra 1500 hd 4 door. 1ohm saz1500 watt amp

My console lid is broke on my console/ seat up front. I was thinking on taking it out and putting one ten in a ported box in its place

Q is I'm already running 1ohm but I have read people say this amp will do .5 ohm. Would I be ok adding 1 extra sub? If its ok should I do a sd 10 or sa 10? Should I go dvc 4 ohm and stay above .5ohm or get a dvc 2ohm and run half a ohm?

Soon to upgrade to Ho alt. right now I have 1/0 gauge ran to amp with big 3 And a red top batt under the hood.

Thx for any input

I may do this after I get a HO alt

But still I have never run a amp below 1ohm. I would like to know how stable the sundown saz 1500 would be doing this or should I just get a 2nd amp?

That’s the little single 6.5 inch enclosure. The Savard did just as well as the RDS. These subs do well in ported or 6th orders but not as well...

It is a little overkill with the batteries, but underkill with the alternator. Ideally, you want an alternator that will keep up with your system...

Thanks. That makes sense. It sounds pretty good as is.
